So Far

Last year we sold our house and two days later we brought a caravan. We had been discussing whether or not we should be buying a 4×4 dual cab ute but we had made up our mind that the extra money spent on an upgrade would mean working and saving longer. Then we did our second trip out the river after a bit of rain, we almost got bogged, which made us change our mind. We better get a 4×4 dual cab just incase. So I said goodbye to my beloved Territory and Matt got a Trition.
We went to Tassie in January and with the help of my brother and sister in-law we went out four wheel driving, twice. We had a great time. We are glad we upgraded it, incase we decide to do some day trips to in remote areas.

We have been buying some things along the way and Matt has been making a few changes in the van to give us some more storage. We have a few things left to buy and Matt has a bit of work to do yet on the ute but we should be ready to go in January.

Next week we head to the Grampians for our first week long stay in the van with my parents. So hopefully it all goes well or else we may not go at all!

We are all starting to get excited about our trip. Only 10 months to go!!

Our Decision

Hi All

For those of you who don’t know Matt and I have decided to head off around Oz in 2015.

We haven’t made this decision lightly but felt like it is time to take a break from the rat race and spend some quality time with our boys. We just felt as though they are growing up too fast. With both of us working trying to save for the dream home, we weren’t getting to spend any quality time with the boys. So after a few discussions we decided that life is too short, the kids are only young once. So we changed our dream of having possessions to dream of a trip of a lifetime, enjoy watching our boys grow up.

So that is what we are doing. And we can’t wait.
